Who We Are

.....Thirteen years ago I had numerous women attending my golf schools, but rarely did I see these women actually palying golf. I knew that women's golf was exploding on a national level and the need for women to learn how to play golf, from a business standpoint alone, was greater than ever. Women had the tendency to be intimidated by the country club and golf course atmosphere and did not know other women with whom they could play. Those were the dominant factors that hindered women from taking the initiative to learn how to play golf.

.....I wanted to change that aspect of the game by providing women with the opportunity to come together, network with other women and develop basic skills to play golf in a non-threatening environment. The idea was born and that became the beginning of Lady Links.

.....Lady Links is a yearly program that is designed to educate and teach women about the game of golf. They are given the unique opportunity to play nine holes on a weekly basis with other women at the same skill level. Organization of the program is done directly through the Classical School of Golf office and the scheduling is formatted for the calendar year and then distributed to each member.

.....Typically, the nine hole outings are scheduled during the down times at the country club. In addition to the weekly outings we offer quarterly member/guest events, three hour golf school, mixed events and out of town outings at prestigious golf resorts. I attend every event and outing to provide personal hands-on instruction to each member.

.....Members of Lady Links are required to pay an annual membership fee directly to the Lady Links Golf Association. The membership fee allows us to provide continuing educations, golf schools, and informational mail outs to the members. Our members also pay $20.00 for the weekely outing fee (9 holes) of which the club keeps $15.00 (green fees &cart) and $5.00 goes back to the Lady Links, which we use to purchase gift certificates from the pro shop for outing winners.

.....Lady Links has proven to fill the need for many women golfers in the Tallahassee area and is continuing to grow. It's success is more than I had ever anticipated back when it was merely an idea nine years ago.
